I know, overkilled topic. But..............

My status hasn't been updated since 1/11! I won't whine, I just want to know if this was a foreshadower for rejections/acceptances.

Come to think of it people who got rejected from USC probably aren't still hanging around here. Ugh!!

No one has been rejected from USC yet. I think they send out the rejections after all of the acceptances go out. Keep your head up a while longer! Good luck!

It really doesn't mean anything, at least as far as I know. USC is dealing with thousands of applications right now, and the system of online status is relatively new- they are obviously still working out the bugs. Try not to worry about it.

It means diddly squat. People read too much into the statuses.

when i look at my status page i don't even see a date haha... where is this?

There's already a thread on this. No one's been rejected yet.

Just to let you guys know... last year rejections didn't come out until the very end of March and beginning of April. It was actually fairly horrible, because acceptances were coming out in waves, and then rejections came out in waves too. I had two friends who were rejected before I had gotten any news, so I was nervous and hoping that maybe that was a good sign... my rejection came about a week after theirs I'm pretty sure, so I really don't know why USC likes keeping people on edge, but just thought I would give you a heads up.

I think I'd rather just read it online. =/

well i just hope that if you don't get your letter, and you have to call, they have the courtesy to tell you over the phone... I applied to another school (mainly because i'm an only child and my mom wanted me to be closer to home) and hadn't gotten my letter and i called and they basically ignored my call because i didn't get in... I thought that this was very classless, and hope that usc would not do this to anyone

The reason they don't tell you over the phone is because if someone got hold of your id #, they could call and pretend they are you. USC does that to protect your privacy. (However, if you got a really nice/pushover adcon, you could possibly talk your way through it! )

from what i remember last time, USC is actually pretty laid back about getting calls from people, my best friend and i called them asking about the status of our decisions, of course they were vague and said soon, but still friendly.
