I letter I sent to Finaid.org

I sent this to every email address I could find: 'corrections@finaid.org'; 'suggestions@finaid.org'; 'fanmail@finaid.org'; 'complaints@finaid.org'; 'support@finaid.org'; 'feedback@finaid.org'; 'questions@finaid.org'

Hello,

You had a great resource.
Why have you chosen to allow it become obsolete?

The collegeboard EFC calculator has the most current data but is not as user friendly as yours.

Many people would benefit if you updated your EFC calculator with the 2009-2010 data.

Susan

Thanks Sue for doing this.

I emailed them as well asking them to clarify their Earned Income page where we on CC noticed some errors. No response - it's been a couple of weeks.

I am guessing whoever was running it is not updating it anymore. In the past the EFC calculator was updated in a very timely manner to reflect new rules. Shame as it has been the best and most up to date site for financial aid information.

Let us know if you hear anything Sue.

One of my coworkers knows Mark, who runs the site. I will ask her what's going on next time I see her.

I actually wrote to the person who maintains it and got no response. Mark Kantrowitz I did this several weeks ago.

The copyright at the bottom of the page FinAid | About FinAid says 2009 and that means someone has edited something on that page.
