I love Calculus with a burning passion!

You guys I'm in deep, i really did it this time :'c
I have a low C in AP Calc AB and it's too late to save my grade, how can I prevent this from ever happening again? I seriously love Calc, in all my years of taking math classes, calc has got to be the most sexiest thing out there but i'm just not getting it.
You see, i skimmed past all the chapters i have learned so far and i get the concepts and how to complete the exercises, yet on the tests and quizzes it proves otherwise. What am i supposed to be studying other than the HW?
My usual study routine would be:
-Complete assigned HW for a section
-Read the section in the Princeton review
Can you guys console me, I'm really in a rut here :/

Keep doing practice problems

I’m in the same boat as you, man.
I love math but my Math HL grade’s just dropped after a particularly brutal final exam and I’m just sitting here wondering what I should do over break to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Personally, I think the problem was that I “got” the concepts, but was unable to visualize them at the speed and comprehension necessary to do weird/new questions, fast. Give me a few more minutes and I’d figure it out, but that’s the difference between speaking Russian fluently and having to check the dictionary for every word. I digress. I may get a tutor over break or just form a study group or something, not sure yet.

In my case, I did a million practice problems and honestly I don’t think that’s the key. The key is to be able to fully understand the concepts, fluently, then using practice problems to check that understanding.
