I love clothing.

Hey :D! I'm a rising senior who has been enamored with fashion since I was 7 years old and stumbled upon a Vogue issue.

Is there any way that I can incoporate my passion for fashion (ugh, so corny) into my ECs? I spend a lot of time poring over fashion blogs and collecting beautiful photography. I adore editorials and I use the ones that I love as inspiration for my photo shoots (I'm an amateur photographer.)

I don't want to be a fashion designer but I LOVE beautiful clothing. This might sound silly, but is there anything productive that I could do with this love while in high school?

Since you’re a rising senior there is not much you can do before college apps. However, it is great that you want to translate your interests into action beyond the purpose of college admissions.

I have some ideas that I am willing to share privately, just not on a public forum since they are quite unique, and I don’t want them to become mundane when everyone does it. Feel free to PM me.

I PMd you!

Awesome. Gimme a sec :)

Perhaps you can use your “amateur photography” as an EC, then expand on what you like to take pictures of, fashion?

As you’re applying to academic institutions, your job will be to elicit an academic or scholarly association to your fondness of fashion, if possible. If not, you should just omit it.

Another person may be extremely fond of fly fishing – but if there’s no connection with showing a college how that pursuit can aid the college community, the fisherman really has no reason to really highlight it greatly, wouldn’t you think?
