I love the Redskins..

..so how am I going to watch them when I'm in Ann Arbor this year? I'm guessing that I might not be able to, which is disappointing, but I'm curious if there's any place in the city that reliably broadcasts a wide range of games on Sundays. Furthermore, I'm kind of partial to the basketball team here in Washington, D.C. (the Wizards), but I understand that there is no cable/dorm-TV equivalent of NBA League-pass which is offered for the satellite-TV folks. Is that correct?

I know there will always be internet recaps and box scores, but I am curious if anyone has any experience keeping up with their favorite teams on the telly. Yes, yes, I know that the Detroit Pistons are good and the Lions are improving, but um...

haha, well I guess you're just gonna have to wait till the redskins are publicly broadcasted on cable. Isn't it either Fox or ABC? or CBS?

Okay, it's not quite the same thing, but you can always listen to the games on satellite radio -- I think Sirius is broadcasting every single football in the country this year.

I know that Fraser's Pub regularly broadcasts games on projections for nearly every team. Check them out. I'm sure you could find somewhere downtown as well.

A lot of times the only team that will be shown is the lions (because the tv service is from piece of $hit city known as detroit), and by contract regulations, when the lions play, no other team can be shown. I personally am a Colts fan, and we're usually second on the list (as in if the lions aren't playing, they'll show the colts). The one time the lions played (got completely destroyed by) the Colts was during thanksgiving break...

this season obviously the Eagles and Patriots will be shown the most. The rams (my team yeah!) will only be shown 4 times lol. Doesn't everyone realize most Ram's games are just plain exciting to watch even if they lose!

That's because Mike Martz makes them interesting

Hopefully the patriots will suck this year. The eagles lost pinkston and have issues with Terrell Owens (today andy reid made him leave practice). While he will surely be back, I think the Eagles will not be as good as last year-good thing the nfc sucks! I am personally excited to see the season opener between the Raiders and patriots. Kerry Collins is better than tom igetextremelyluckybutamnotthatgood brady, and there is no ty law to stop Randy FLOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Moss. Woodson looks strong again also. Either way, the Colts have all the weapons, including a physical defense featuring our own Marlin Jackson, and obviously Peyton, Edgerrin, Marvin, etc and will be the favorites to dethrone the patriots reign of luck.

Owens won't "surely be back". He's cancer to the team and I really think he gets traded, although no one wants him right now. And how dare you post saying Brady isn't good in a Michigan thread! You complement Marlin, who was suspended from Michigan for a bar fight incident, and rip Brady? Boo! Go to OSU! I'm just playing ;-)

hahahaha-well looks like you might be right about TO-he just got suspended for a week. The problem is with pinkston out for the season, Owens is the only solid receiver. They can use westbrook, but he can't be the focal point of the running AND passing game.

yea I hate the pistons. Lions aren't gonna be good, but if you have 2 extra gs you can see the super bowl in detroit. lol

watch out for the vikings this year! My friend getting every game in his apartment so i'll be watching my team

Yeah the vikings could be decent this year-Williamson is a strong vertical receiver, but he is a rookie and will have to adjust. He will eventually be the star receiver with burleson as a strong second option. The defense will be improved with erasmus james and chavous returning. They lost a decent runningback in onterrio smith (suspension haha). I heard a rumor that the raiders might be looking to acquire TO (for jerry porter). Imagine Randy and Terrell on the same team...

Belichick and Brady are gonna win it again! Go PATS!!!

screw the pats...F brady and Belichick!

I'm getting ready to make excuses again this year as to why the Lions aren't any good.

LOL, I actually wrote that in my college essay, you know!

Bellichek is a football mastermind and the best coach in the nfl, but without his coordinators, ty law, bruschi, etc, the patriots will not win. tom brady is not a good quarterback. He had good receivers and an excellent offesnive line. He might be a "leader" off the field, but he just gets lucky. Look at the pro bowl. The AFC was playing very well with Peyton, well with brees, and horrible with brady. I realize it was just after the superbowl and he was probably tired, but without his specific line and receivers, tom brady is TRASH. Go Colts!

Even though I'll always root for the Rams, Go Colt's too lol. I think they finally deserve a superbowl appearance/win and now that the patriots are half torn apart they should finally get their...you know my favorite game would be Colt's vs Rams lol...or Colt's vs Eagles...i dunno

LOL @ "Tom Brady not being a good quarterback". He sets Manning down every year, as well as Roethlisberger, and does nothing but win. His QB rating is high, in the 90s, as well. He wins, which Manning doesn't in the post-season.

Tom Brady is one cheap ass qtrback whose game was risen mostly by the players around him
