"I Love You, But I Don't Want To Sleep With You"

Here’s an article about separate duvets, with pictures: https://www.remodelista.com/posts/better-sleep-mine-and-yours-duvets/

Just love that “rumpled” linen/look in neutral colors.

The prices there… :flushed: $200 for a twin duvet cover?! Now I don’t feel so bad about paying $250 for a king!

I’m a big fan of fancy hotel bedding sold by hotel chains (“hotel” stuff sold by linen stores). I know precisely what I’m getting size and quality-wise. After several undersized comforters, I got a Westin heavenly bed one, and it is plenty big. Ditto FS pillows. Love ours!

We’ve always had a king because my husband is very tall. At some point over the last few years, I started sleeping in my older daughter’s room (she has moved out). It was mostly because of his snoring, but he also complained about my tossing and turning and being on my phone.

He doesn’t care, I don’t care and we both sleep great. Married 30 years so it must be working lol.

OK I’m a little confused about the ‘just sleep under a duvet’. Do you sleep without any covering when it’s warm?

And glad to see I’m not the only one who just can’t get a good nights sleep in same room as H.

Do you just search a specific hotel chains normal website to find their bedding links?

Yes, there can be a link on the hotel site but their “stores” are usually best found by web search; for example, if you search for “Westin bedding,” you’ll get hits to this site.

I change the duvet covers from flannel to cotton when the weather changes. A down duvet seems to really adaptable. It’s never too hot or too cold.

That’s pretty common in Europe!

Nothing wrong with that. Good sleep is essential and being tired and grumpy certainly doesn’t help a marriage!
