I have a really big paper to write for lit, 2 really hard physics tests plus the final the first week in Dec, and a bunch of other stuff this month, so I missed that deadline. Is that going to delay my parents figuring out if we can afford Case (if I'm accepted)? My parents keep saying wait and see if they accept you first, then we'll worry about the cost and financial aid and scholarships- but I'm thinking we should have done that financial aid profile...

Was anybody else in the same situation last year? How did that work out for you?

In other words, the dog ate your homework.

Since you applied early I don’t think it will be a huge problem. You will just have to wait a little longer, but you’ll find out far before decision date in May. You may also receive an academic scholarship in which case you might satisfied and not need to fill out the aid form (I don’t know your financial situation).

That said I would contact the financial aid office and let them know that you do want to apply for aid and get the paperwork in as soon as possible.

Also just some general advice for regular decision applications: colleges aren’t obligated to give you anything, acceptance or scholarship money. Turning in things late gives them a decent reason not to give you offers.
