I am currently a junior in the northeast. By the end of the year, I will have a cumulative unweighted gpa of 3.65-3.7. I have started and lead a photography club in my h.s, as well as being part of the swim team (team captain) and two other clubs. I attend a after school program that provides me scholarship money. Im looking to shadow a doctor soon and plan on joining the nhs chapter in my school by this spring. I aspire to go to Med school and I just want helpful feedback to know if i have a chance to go to johns hopkins/georgetown, uw, or boston?
*boston university sorry
You’ve not posted any SAT/ACT scores.
Are you in HS? Then don’t worry about med school quite yet. Do some volunteering in a medical setting to see if you like that atmosphere. Take an AP Science (AP Bio, Chem, Physics) if you can to prepare yourself. Figure out what you might want to major in . Could be Biology or Chem (as those are typical and easier to fit all med school pre-requisites in) but it can be any major as long as you also take Bio, Chem, OChem, etc.
Consider not going to a private university and save the money for med school.
OP, you do realize that you need to get a 4 year bachelor’s degree first, right.
What’s your EFC?
