I know I really messed up junior year, that's why I'm worried, and my extracurriculars are pretty weak....

Currently looking at Ohio State, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Miami (not to be confused with Miami in Ohio). Are these schools safeties/matches/reaches? Where else should I be considering?

Finance/Tuition cost is not an issue, and I'm from Pennsylvania (although it doesn't really matter to me where the school is. the farther the better, to be honest xD)

wake forest (maybe a reach) and elon should be on your radar! pitt is a great school but, it maybe to close to home…since you said the further the better. maybe florida southern(lakeland,fl ) and rollins also in florida.

Yeah- have you checked out any LAC’s? Oberlin, Earlham, Denison, Wooster, Kenyon, etc. You’d be a match for a lot of them, which can be a great experience if you like smaller schools.

^^^
Agreed with the above poster.

Also look into Dickinson (match), Muhlenberg (safety), Lehigh (high match), and Bucknell (match)- all in PA.

^^^ muhleneberg is a+++ in my book, but the op said he wanted to travel far from home.
hendrix would be a great lac for him if he likes small schools!

p.s. muhlenberg is not a safety for op…match or high match more likely! same with dickinson and bucknell also to close to home if he lives in PA

LACs aren’t really my scene; i’ve visited a few and i’m not too much of a fan.
i definitely feel more at home at big city/state colleges!

well i live in california, and am an expert in the colleges here. i think according to your stats, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and UC Santa Barbara are pretty good matches for you, although you have to do better in your senior year, to assure any college you’re applying to will want to see signs of improvement over your high school career. hope you get into a good college!
