Are you considering doign the Master's program or the Doctoral Program? I did my MA there a couple years ago and am currently involved in the EDD program. The MA program is very practitioner based and does not focus on a research agenda at all. It is very flexible about you working while going to school. Some classes do require a lot of reading and work, but I've never found it overwhelming to accomplish this program with a full time job. The faculty have great connections in the DC/Maryland area and can help you get great internships or jobs at campuses in the area. The students are very friendly and helpful to each other. WHile in recent history, this program wasn't very strong, it has taken huge strides in the past three to four years to increase the rigor and reputation of the program and is definately worth it now. The larger Graduate School of Education and Human Development is ranked in the top 25 annually by US News, as well. If you have more specific questions, feel free to post, or contact me and I will be glad to answer them.
