Hi -

I graduated in three years from a top ten (now top 15) undergrad with a lsdas GPA of 3.62. Not sure what my lsat will be, i just took the first diagnostic and got a 161 so I am hoping at least high 160s or low 170s.

After I graduated, I was selected for a teaching fellowship in New York City where I would have to teach in an inner city school for two years, and get paid a full salary. In addition, the DOE would pay for me to get a Masters degree in Education at Fordham.

I am now done with my first year of teaching and 6 credits away from my masters (I have a 4.0 gpa). I was offered another position as an undergraduate admissons officer at a local university (2nd tier). I am really passionate about college admissions and think that this would be an incredibly interesting job. The university has agreed to pay for the remainder of my master’s degree.

Here are my questions:

Would it look really bad that I quit the fellowship program in order to be an admissions officer? I’m not sure if it would even be noticeable on my resume that I quit, because I dont know if they would realize that this was a two year program rather than a one year program.

How would I market myself if I made this career move? Before, I was planning to explain that I am devoted to public service ( internships at public defender, aclu, plus the teaching in nyc school) - can I still do this? I really DO want to be involved in public interest law, particularly with juveniles.

Based on what you know about me, do you think that it is possible for me to get into a t14 school?

Thanks so much!
