My son also wants to know how religious the school is. He has gone to Catholic grade and High schools but doesn't want to attend a "religious" college.

The school follows the Jesuit tradition, and therefore, expects the students to uphold certain standards. However, in terms of residential education, Fordham expects the students to follow all rules in the Residential Life handbook, therefore, being fairly conservative. If these rules are not followed to the letter, the students are fined and sanctions are given, so in that regard they are pretty strict.

I'm attending there in the fall, so all I can tell is you is what I've read up on.

In terms of religion -- I've heard that the Jesuits are the "liberal Catholics." I'm currently agnostic but was raised non-denominational Christian, and I'm really not worried about the religion aspect. The theology requirement actually sounds interesting.

As for law school -- isn't Fordham Law pretty prestigious? Correct me if I'm wrong. I read somewhere about early entrance to the law school after two years at Fordham. Might be worth considering.

in reference to the law school program, its fantastic, one of the best in the nation. the program that you're thinking of is call 3 and 3 (or something like that). You go to undergraduate for three years and if accepted, instead of going into your senior year, you go to law school. Essentially cutting out a whole year of college.
