I swim 8~9 hours a week at swim club/team and each practices (two hours) I swim about
5000~up yards.
I can't imagine my life without swimming. I do lots of work outs.
I am only freshmen and am not very competitive swimmer. Though I am going to swim rest of 3 1/2 years through high school years which I think will be more competitive.

Swimming is what I really really really love but I want to major biology and go to medical school. I am a good student get all (almost lol) A's and I have W gpa 4.83 (differ by schools so this doesn't explain anything, who knows,,) or UW gpa 3.86 or 3.9 out of 4.0 scale (I don't even know what is exactly A or A- B+ in exact number though I got 7 As and 1 B). I don't care it is rather division I, II or III, I just wish to swim in college.
Any advices PLEASE? I just wish to go dreaming school in biology major and just really wish to swim. I don't care about recruit and I do not wish to go to division III school only because I can swim there in the team. I would rather go to Princeton and just able to be good enough to be walk on the swim team or less competitive team.
I can't imagine my life without swimming,
any advices? Thanks for advices!

ps grammar error: I really really wish to be in swim team in college.

It doesn’t sound like you need much advice…I’d focus on finding a school with an excellent biology program first, then seeing if they have a swim team you’d like to be a part of.

Btw, just as some extra advice…Work on your English a bit xP Your post is riddled with mistakes.

No, I am saying my goal is not to become Michael Phelps, but simply wishing to be able to swim rest of my life. But you know when you go to college there is no way to have organized, intensed, regular swim practices that college students can do except get into swim team.

And of course, biology major than hopefuly medical school. Swimming is just hobby but more than simply hobby, but not so dramatic as becoming Olympic swimmer (but good if I can).

Being able to get into swim team; even it is division III school is hard, very hard, even if I swim competitve. So it is important to think about what school is best for biology major, I should also think about what is good school to be able to keep up my swimming career(or hobby).

When you apply to schools, complete the Athletic Questionnaires (on each school’s athletic websites). You never know if a coach might be interested in your swimming skills? Choose your college according to academic fit/intended major, and then try and “line up” an opportunity to swim for your college/university.

^ yeah, im on the swim team, and my friend, whos #3 in the country, swims:
4-7 mornings every day,
goes to school,
3-6 after school every day
and then 7-10 and 5-8 on saturdays
you need to swim more if you want to be good

Seahawks506<<<<haha yeah.
LilMamma, almost there, thenerdyjew<<Thanks for great replies.
I guess I need to swim more and intensively.
Is anyone have advices to swim when I go to college? Is there second level swim team maybe JV or as club but practice everyday?

I am even embarassed to say my best times,
I only have been swim for half year. I swim 50 free for 30~31s and I do not know other stroke bc I neve went to meet with other strokes.
I am only freshmen and I have 3 1/2years so I am just considering. I don’t wish to get scholarship for college but rather, just BE ABLE TO SWIM in college regardless of level.

The other thing you might want to consider is going to a college with a swim club instead of a swim team. Many schools offer swim clubs and the students have the option of swimming 5 to 7 days/week. Many swim clubs compete against the swim clubs of other colleges.
