I took 2 years of Spanish
im a senior now and taking third, I know three is recomended for the UC's, but im thinking of dropping it second SEM, since i'll be busy, and that will bring my total Foreign Language to 2.5, is that a big difference from 3 years, how badly will it hurt my acceptance.
Im thinking of taking it off before I apply so that it would not be seen by adcouns., on my 2nd sem, or should i keep it apply, and then drop(or will that be even worse, when UC's find out i dropped it)

depends on the campus to which you are applying (it matters more to Berkeley and UCLA), and what you will be doing instead, and how many academic classes will remain (5 is considered normal). For example, if you have to work to support the family, or are off doing some esoteric research, adcoms won't care about a half-year of spanish. But, if being "busy" means hanging at the beach, partying, with senior-itis.......hmmmm.

Please note that UCLA has a foreign language requirement, and you will be expected to take a foreign language once you arrive.

well with without spanish i'll have 4 classes, right now I just have five, since today i dropped psychology(not yet, just second SEM) which was my sixth class, i was going to drop spanish but my counc. told me it matters, especially since berkley is my first choice. I'm thinking psychology for 1 semester will not make a difference, since w/o it i'll still have 5 classes, or will it?
...and No, I will not have a senoiritis, and party all day, i'm planning to start a buisness, or something of that sort.

I agree with your GC -- Span over Psych. Moreover, anything less than 5 academic classes = senior slacker (w/o extenuating circumstances), so you made the right choice.

You'll only be taking 4 classes if you drop it? I don't think that's very wise. Unless the colleges know that you're out to venture into the business field because otherwise, all they'll see is a student who gave up second semester and isn't out to stick it through. Don't drop it now and don't drop it after 2nd Semester. Because they will see your transcript at the end of senior year and they can choose to un-accept you.
