I shouldn't be complaining but...

HOW IN THE WORLD AM I GOING TO DECIDE BETWEEN THE SCHOOLS I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED TO??

Okay, so at the moment I've managed to secure acceptances at:

UCSB (Regents Scholar)
UCSD
UCLA (Scholarship Recognition Award?)
UC Berkeley
NYU Gallatin (Albert Gallatin Scholar w/ 25k scholarship)
Stanford (WTH??)

I'm in complete SHOCK...I'm head over heels in love with three of the aforementioned schools (Berkeley, Stanford, Gallatin) and I am at a loss on which to pick. I'm trying hard to do some in-depth, comprehensive research on each but I'm quite overwhelmed.

Things that are important to me: Location (which they all pretty much have...save Stanford maybe?), price (not sure how much Stanford will cost but atm, Berk and NYU are equal--around 20k), social scene, diversity, and a good school newspaper.

I'm still waiting on Harvard, Columbia and Vassar...they will only make my decision that much harder.

WHICH WOULD YOU PICK IF YOU WERE ME?

Stanford......unless you get into Harvard

Between UCB, UCLA, NYU, and Stanford you should go wherever gives you the most finaid.

Just got into Vassar!

Wow, congratulations! Mind posting your stats/ECs/hooks? It seems like everybody else this year is getting waitlisted and rejected at the top schools...

Nevermind, I found it on the 2012 thread. It all makes sense now ^.^

Congrats :].
Haha, I personally would choose UCLA, but I noticed you're from LA already.
Have you visited the schools yet? If not take some fridays off in April to go visit. It'll really make the difference. If you can't visit, at least narrow down geographic location. NorCal or East Coast?
About Stanford's location, Palo Alto/Stanford is this cute little town - definitely not like Berkeley or NY. Stanford Shopping Center is a high-end shopping mall. There's other little malls in the bay area though, but from Stanford that's a 30 minute drive. San Francisco is about a 50 minute drive.

They're all good schools though. Oh, also with price, be sure to think about cost of housing (when you move out of dorms).

choose Stanford or Berkeley. otherwise, go with NYU if you feel like moving far away.

columbia or harvard, since you'll get into one

you should go to stanford.

Rejected from Harvard (lol, as expected), Accepted at Columbia!

Columbia or Stanford?

stanford for sure.

MODERATOR'S NOTE:

Threads about choosing a college after being admitted belong in the College Search & Selection forum, not in the College Admissions Forum, naturally.

oh, sorry...

Right now I'm leaning toward Columbia...

I've never been to New York before so I definitely have to visit. Does anyone know if they give travel grants?

columbia is "beautiful".. but stanford is real beauty..

NYC is not as awesome as it's appears to be.. i would go with stanford, i'm thinking they would give you more money too..

fyi (i think i'm right) doesn't stanford have the largest campus in acres? something like that...

NYU campus = horrible.. it's all over the place
