I'm in complete SHOCK...I'm head over heels in love with three of the aforementioned schools (Berkeley, Stanford, Gallatin) and I am at a loss on which to pick. I'm trying hard to do some in-depth, comprehensive research on each but I'm quite overwhelmed.

Things that are important to me: Location (which they all pretty much have...save Stanford maybe?), price (not sure how much Stanford will cost but atm, Berk and NYU are equal--around 20k), social scene, diversity, and a good school newspaper.

I'm still waiting on Harvard, Columbia and Vassar...they will only make my decision that much harder.

Wow, congratulations! Mind posting your stats/ECs/hooks? It seems like everybody else this year is getting waitlisted and rejected at the top schools...

Congrats :].
Haha, I personally would choose UCLA, but I noticed you're from LA already.
Have you visited the schools yet? If not take some fridays off in April to go visit. It'll really make the difference. If you can't visit, at least narrow down geographic location. NorCal or East Coast?
About Stanford's location, Palo Alto/Stanford is this cute little town - definitely not like Berkeley or NY. Stanford Shopping Center is a high-end shopping mall. There's other little malls in the bay area though, but from Stanford that's a 30 minute drive. San Francisco is about a 50 minute drive.

They're all good schools though. Oh, also with price, be sure to think about cost of housing (when you move out of dorms).

Threads about choosing a college after being admitted belong in the College Search & Selection forum, not in the College Admissions Forum, naturally.
