dolly are you going to Michigan if accepted?

who thinks new decisions will be posted this monday?

Tomorrow? Very unlikely.

Taco, I will most likely go if I get in.

And Monday?? Pppfsh...no way.

this is unbearable....december 3 to april 15....

yea rg25264 it is, fortunately for me i got accepted to uva and dont really care about u of m anymore

congrats on uva...thats really dumb how u got accepted into uva, but not yet from michigan...especially if you are oos at uva

Makes me glad my S decided not to apply after all...

Michigan's a great school. but they sure screwed up the college admissions process for so many of their applicants. This has to change going forward. I don't think that there are any other schools of their status who still haven't notified all of their applicants what's going on with their admission.

Kind of reminds me of the way that things are generally run in the state of Michigan....that is, right now, not very well.

Yeah. I think its pretty ****** up. It's nothing new though. Same **** happened when I applied as well.

I really wanted my decision soon, considering that i never got any notification online or in the mail saying that i was deferred, and now i gotta wait till 10th or the 15th :(

the process is pretty effed up, I've heard from pretty much all my schools, but not michigan. I applied in oct.

You all need to follow some advice given to us back in December......(and we withdrew app based on it).......MOVE ON.....I would be shocked if some of you were accepted at this late date and even if you were accepted, it is just rude and disrespectful of UMich to expect you to make decisions within two weeks......What if you haven't visited? April 15th, (if you're lucky), is a Tuesday.....That gives you only 2 weekends to visit and decide.......

They are playing some type of yield game to figure out who will matriculate...According to mightynick, this goes on every year.....the beauty of CC is that we can warn those to come......

@Rodney: And where did your advice come from--other CC posters? Sorry, but it's also rude to shoot down kids with hope for their admittance to top-choice schools at this stage; especially with advice that is speculative, at best.

Honestly, I think it is best to just move on. It is truly sad that UMich wasn't competent enough to hand out all the decisions earlier. Even with the increase in apps, there is no excuse for this delay. Harvard, NYU, Cornell, the UCs, and others had a lot of applicants as well and still managed to give out decisions on time.

And honestly, if Harvard can go through all 27,000 applications on time, I think UMich should be able to as well but I guess not.

Somebody that i know got in this monday so please dont think just coz u havnt been handed a decision means that uve been rejected.

Thanks for the info! Do you mean today? How were they notified?

last monday i meant sry , and he got an email saying he got in and the wolverine access thingy

I just called. Twice. It didnt even go to voice mail, it just rang and rang.

CanuckBreakwater: I'm sorry my post offended you....it was, in fact, my d's guidance counselor who recommended that she "move on " for the reasons I posted...Given what is going on, I can't say that I don't understand, although it did surprise me back in Dec....
