For everyone who is convincing themselves that they are rejected because they havent heard don't worry. I'm 100% confident i'm getting in (top GPA in my public school in michigan, lots of other credentials too, and some of my friends w/ a GPA a full point lower than mine got in) and I still haven't heard yet, and i got my application in in November.

Something must be holding them up. I don't know what, but it isn't a death wish for all of us.

tennisguy, I hope you get in but I suggest you don't get overconfident. In this crazy year, people have even been rejected to safeties, so better that you protect your feelings by having lower expectations.

Or maybe they're personally going to deliver each of acceptance letters to us. On light blue helicopters. With candy and confetti and ice cream. And a full ride.

Don't be so pessimistic, muzicgirl. I keep expecting my helicopter at any second. Or maybe they're just going to be delivered to tennisguy, and the rest of us are just going to have to console ourselves with our pitiful little rejection letters. Without chocolate.

Although my friend has not been accepted yet, he recently told me about a change to his application format on Wolverine Access. When he clicked on "View Financial Aid Award Summary" the 2008/2009 Aid Year appeared for the first time. Could this be a possible sign of a acceptance ?

I was marked complete December 3 but still have not heard back yet. I called them last week or two weeks ago and they said that a decision had not been reached yet. Another person told me that only the the top candidates that did not do EA were admitted in January and February. I've also been told that after March all decisions, acceptance/waitlist/deny, will not be online, but mailed.

GoBlue81, i actually agree with you. plus what they tell u on the phone has not proven to be accurate this year either...i've searched these forums on cc and i havent been able to determine for sure who found out via email, wa, or snail mail

My application has been in since early Nov (should have been by Oct 31, but my counselor screwed up) and I was and I can still get into Wolverine Access..... this is really ridiculous. The tour/admissions session we went to in July 2007 made it seem so easy if you "apply early." What a joke

This wait is seriously driving me crazy. I've narrowed down to two schools that I've gotten into so far, but Michigan is still my number 1 choice...I can't budge till I hear from them.

If I get waitlisted at April 15, what's the latest that the school is going to contact us saying "there's no more spots" or "you're in"??? Cuz I have to deposit the money to one of my 2 schools by May 1st...I'd hate to deposit the money and find that I got into Michigan.

If you get accept the spot on any waitlist you have to submit a deposit to another school and then if you do end up getting a spot you withdraw your deposit to the other school...that is just how a waitlist works since you get notified so late.

On the bright side, since a lot of people are getting ****ed off with UMich and committing already to their #2 school, we have a better shot of getting in if we're waitlisted! Hehehe!
