I Think I'm Getting Receinded!!!

I was accepted as a Spring Admit to Mt Holyoke. My grades absolutely plummeted in AP Government [I got a 67 for the course, though to be fair, the teacher treated me unfairly in comparison to the other students, who handed in all late work and still came out with a 98, and I did a great deal of make up work.] as well as in Forensics Science [I got an attrocious grade of a 45 because I did no work, as that class wasn't an AP and I didn't care about it at all.]

I got the worst grades possible, and now I've received a letter from Mt Holyoke that says, "please submit a letter of explanation to me for the decline in your academic performance as soon as possible. If we have further concerns after receiving your letter, we will contact you."

What does this mean??

Someone, please help me ASAP!!!!

You got a D and an F. It means that you need to “start explaining” what happened. You got senioritis, and they want to make sure that you don’t carry that into your college experience.

I think you need to take this very seriously and write a good letter. You were already a Spring admit, and now with no grades for fall (I am assuming) you have to explain why you deserve to go with poor grades spring and taking fall off. You might have to take CC classes fall to show then you can do college work.

If you have no better explanation than " I didn’t care" and “the teacher treated me unfairly” then I agree with you , it is likely you will be rescinded.

You also can’t lie to Mt. Holyoke about the reasons for your poor grades. They may follow up your letter of explanation with a call to your guidance counselor to verify your statement.

Did you not realize that Mt. Holyoke required you to keep up your grades as part of your acceptance?

I hope it was resolved!
