I recently got my email back from FAFSA, it said my EFC was 8060, but I did not qualify for anything. I don't understand it because my school is over 30,000 a year? Any help is appreciated!!

did fafsa say that you did not qualify for anything, or the school?

I agree with college now as to who is telling you that you do not qualify for anything?

With an EFC of 8060, you do not qualify for pell grants/ seog grants, but you still qualifiy for stafford loans.

Does your school require the CSS profile or their own institutional aid form?
Does your school require financial information from a non-custodial parent?

these could be reasons for variations in your EFC as the profile or institutional aid form may ask more detailed questions than the fafsa.

FAFSA and the EFC are sent to each college that you applied to attend. When the colleges accept you each one will tell you what kind of grants, merit aid (both free) and loans and work study you would be given by that college.
FAFSA itself just provides the EFC to the colleges and to you. Each college will use it differently.
