I Took Courses for College Credit in HS - Will I have to send those grades for law school?

Hello everyone!

In high school, a few of my classes offered college credit from local community colleges and universities. Though I took the courses at my high school, I’ve earned college credit for Calculus, Humanities, and French - and I have grades for those courses on my “college transcripts” at the schools that offered the credits.

I will not be attending any of those schools that offered this credit, and the school I chose to attend (Reed College) does not accept any of that credit.

My question is: Will I have to send those other college transcripts along with my Reed transcript when applying for law school? Will they care that I’ve taken courses through other schools? Will they ask if I have credits anywhere else?

I’m hoping that I can just forget about those credits/courses because I’m unhappy with my grades in those classes.

Also, for further background info, I’m attending Reed College this fall, I’m majoring in chemistry, and I hope to attend a top law school in the future.

Thanks!

yes, with rare exception, you MUST send transcripts for all college work taken, regardless of when or where.

Sorry, no can do.

You will have to include the credits you took in HS. The GPA used by schools will be provided by LSAC and you must follow their rules for what they use. Basically it includes every grade for every class you took prior to obtaining your first bachelors degree.

That also means that if you ever retook a class to improve your GPA in your university,
