okay so i chose cal over ucla with regents, usc with presidential scholarship, and cmc with a fat financial aid...for cal...with practically nothing, i did it for my major...i really wanted to get into HAAS. am i making the right choice? i know it's too late and all...

You've made the right choice. Berkeley's Haas is a world-renowned business program: it is worth every penny! ! ! Haas ranks right with world-giant Business Schools, like Wharton, HBS, Stanford, MIT, Chicago, NorthWestern and Haas graduates (BA or MBA) are recruited heavily by i-bank like Goldman Sachs, Mckinsey(sp?). Congratz!!!

but remember, not everyone gets into Haas. I heard half get turned down.

Can't ask me. I'd pretty much go anywhere if they gave me financial aid.

i don't think berkeley haas without financial aid is worth suffering for over ucla regents or even usc. but you already made your decision. you'll just have to make sure you work hard to get into haas, so that your decision doesn't go to waste.

cannot you not still change campuses within the UC system? There's probably a hefty fee, but I think you could.

You'd only be an idiot if you actually listened to those who say that you are an idiot for turning down UCLA with Regents/free toaster oven and baby blue stuffed bear.

Please allow me to salute your great judgment and extend my congratulations on a choice well made. Welcome to the greatest university in the world.

Just like a collegeboard test....there is only ONE right answer, and you made it. Congrats.

Less than half of those that apply were not admitted.

You can still change. I'm changing too, but to UCSB Regents it seems! They've been very helpful... Go with your gut. It's all up to YOU! If you're asking "am i an idiot" to this board... You've got some work cut out for you. Good luck!

Haas continues to be the feeder school for some of the world's finest business faculties, as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and University of Chicago joined the ranks of Harvard and Wharton this year to snap up the freshly minted graduates of the Haas School Ph.D. Program.

Twelve of the thirteen May 2006 graduates have accepted offers. Eight will be tenure-track assistant professors at such schools as MIT's Sloan School of Management, the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In addition, a December 2005 graduate has been placed at Harvard University as an assistant professor with the technology and operations management unit.

Two graduates have taken research positions, one as a research fellow at Harvard University's Program on Negotiation, a joint program between the law and business schools, and one conducting postdoctorate research at Northwestern University. Two graduates have taken industry positions, one as a senior housing economist with Freddie Mac and one as a financial economist at the Bank for International Settlements.

"We are delighted by our terrific placement record this year," says Tülin Erdem, the E.T. Grether Professor of Business Administration and Marketing and director of the Ph.D. Program. "The demand for our graduates underscores the high caliber of our students and the excellence of our program."

I really thinkt he question isn't answerable, as they two are so very different, but I imagine most would say the top 50 med schools. The question really doesn't make sense, though.

XL: keep in mind that there are other great options besides Haas undergrad as far as great curriculums towards a business careers. Personally, I think you'd be better off going to ORMS with a social science minor.

ORMS? which school or program is that?
