I decided to not take hindi because I didn't realize hindi 1b is the 2nd part of the series. There was no listed prereq and the name of the course was introductory to hindi. I had no idea there was a sequence from 1a to 1b.

And I also realized it was foolish of my wanting to cram in another econ elective when I could evenly spread them out among 3 semesters.

I think I finally made a good schedule here at berkeley. My other semesters were horrible scheduling, back-to-back finals, cramming classes in the same semester when there was absolutely no point and I could have spread them out evenly, choosing harder classes cuz I thought I was smarter than I really am, and 5 hours of class in a row. (This is the complaint of a non engineering/science major. I can never fully understand the suffering that you guys endure, and I shouldn't complain but I will.)

I'm hoping to fill in the extra time on tuesdays, thursdays, and fridays with a good internship in san francisco.

Tell me if I messed up on scheduling again plz. I really don't want to endure another semester like last semester or the one before that. (Why did I choose silly breadth courses!?!)

looks good. the breadth courses are probably going to be a piece of cake. one question…why are you taking 100a? i heard acland is horrible. only reason why i didn’t sign up for that class…even though it has like 200 seats open, lol.

oh no. Those aren’t breadth courses. I’m just taking them to fill up my schedule. I’m done with my breadth requirements.

Can Acland really be that bad? I mean everyone is also going to do bad, right? And people on his ratemyprofessor said he improved towards the end the last time he taught it, so I’d assume he’d still have that same improvement during the beginning of this semester.

But you raise an interesting point. I could just take 100a next semester. Hmm… Interesting.

edit: and i’m also going to scout around the discussions for 100a and see which one has the lowest caliber students. If the class is going to be graded by section like my other two econ classes were.

oh. well, i meant courses not related to your major, lol. and nice.

i’m not sure. i heard he gives a quiz every day before lecture, so you can’t skip…and the class is at 8 AM. and the quiz has nothing to do with the lecture material. but it is up to you. i didn’t want to take it, because i’m trying for econ or EEP and both are capped…if i screw up, then what do i declare? lol.

Political Economy! That is if you can go through the foreign language requirement.

Econ 100b also had a quiz before every lecture so I’m used to preparing for those now.
Are you taking 100b this semester with professor wood? He’s a really good teacher, I recommend you take his class. You learn the concepts and theories really well, but his exams are challenging.

yeah, that is one backup major for me. i am signed up for EEP 100, since i’m a bit more interested in the EEP major. I am apparently also finishing the requirements for statistics, so I could declare that too, if all else fails, lol.

the foreign language requirement sucks. I heard languages are easy, but I’m not sure if that is because only people who are fluent in the language take it or if they are definitely easy. If I do in fact do PE, I would consider hindi or italian, lol.

umm. I’m pretty sure the economics major doesn’t count EEP 100 to fulfill the microeconomics requirement. Their site says Econ 100a or 101a for microeconomic theory. Nothing else. But I’m not 100% sure. Unless you’re deadset on doing EEP instead of econ.

[Current Majors](http://elsa.berkeley.edu/econ/ugrad/current_electives.shtml)

Statistics would be a good major. If I could redo berkeley I would major in statistics, but it’s too late for me. I think stats is really practical and interesting.

i know. i think i want to declare EEP. but I have to declare before 80 units are up, and I still have a ways there (talked to an advisor–apparently doesn’t count AP credits, and I have a lot of that…so yeah…).

how about minor in stats?

That’s 8 courses including math 53 and 54. I don’t know if I could handle the addition of 8 difficult courses in 3 semesters.

Of course you can. I’ve taken math 53, 54, cs70(=math 55), physics 7a, 7b, 7c, CS 61& 63, EE20 & 40. Total 10 highly competitive courses in the past 3 semesters. I got all As (including 3 A+s).

Lol dude. I’m not a genius like you. I can’t do that, man. I’d die.

If I revamped this semester to drop econ 100a and anthro 122f and instead take math 53 and stats 134, I think I would have a heart attack midway through the semester.

I just made a feasible schedule. Hmm… should I do it? I’m really contemplating it now. I don’t know why. I think it’s maybe because all my classes would be a requirement for something…

Curse you BearFacts!!
