I want to be a epidemiologist, so what do I get my BS in?

I love public health, and I know I can concentrate on epidemiology at my college, but the thingis, is that a good idea? The program does not seem to cover science and math .....

How could it not? o.O

Chemistry or Biochemistry

Check out the curriculum for any reputable graduate degree program in epidemiology. You will see an abundance of quantitative coursework. And talk to your profs in public health/epidemiolgy and ask them to guide you towards the correct coursework so you have sufficient background for your next step.

I think epidemiology is best studied at the graduate level at a school of public health.
There are many undergraduate majors that could provide an appropriate preparation for graduate study in this field:
Biology (esp. Microbiology)
Statistics
Sociology (e.g., demography)
Economics (with its quantitative focus)
Geography (e.g., geography of health & disease)
Anthropology (e.g., medical anthropology, biological anthropology)
Some schools also offer a major, minor or certificate program in Global Health
Some schools offer a major in History of Science (e.g., history of medicine, history of epidemics)—probably more appropriate if combined with a major or minor in biology or a quantitative social science
No matter what the major, however, some coursework in basic biology and in quantitative methods (e.g., statistics, computer science, calculus) is highly recommended.
