I am a highschool senior and i want to become a physical therapist and specialize in sports injuries. I do not know if it is best to major in something or just complete the courses required for graduate school (pre-requisite). If i do decide to major in something, I do not know what degree it would be (kinesiology, exercise science, sports medicine??). I would like to attend a university in California preferably Southern California, so does anyone know any good colleges that have majors in pre-physical theraypy, kinesiology, sports medicine, or exercise science? Any input is greatly APPRECIATED!

looks like you’ve come to the right place…

of course, DPT is a graduate level program. USC’s undergrad kinesiology program is pretty good too. many of these students are trainers for the many USC div-1 sports teams (including football and basketball).

take a look at the courses offered + syllabi

SC has a stellar program in Physical Therapy. Check out the website. Have you spoken with someone who is a licensed physical therapist? Perhaps a person in the field could give you advice regarding an undergraduate major.

USC is need blind in admissions. Check out the thread on financial aid. You can never be admitted…if you do not apply. View the admissions section on the USC website. It will give you advice on how to prepare yourself for the application process.
