What an awesome campus! I was visiting nearby Rider University and we decided to swing by Princeton and it really is beautiful. Its right in the middle of main street with all these neat shops. if any one has any questions about the area let me know :)

any good movie theaters?

there was one small one across the street, that was showing 2 movies: million dollar baby and something else which i forget. about 10-15 minutes away was a brand new amc 24 which looked really nice as well.

That small one, which shows high quality films, is actually owned by the university, and students get a discount.

Is Princeton considered rural or suburban?

definitely suburban

so no cows roaming around campus?

No. There are fields surrounding the city (sidenote: drooool), but it just has more of a suburban feel to it than a rural one.

Yes, there is definitely life outside of the school lol.

Are Princeton's surroundings really posh?? If you were to choose a celebrity that would perfectly fit in the neighbourhood, who would you choose?

What?!?! hahahahaha.

i like that question....hmmm which celebrity..... i could see julia roberts. she just seems very nice and friendly, clean cut.

one of the best things about princeton is the princeton record exchange, right off of the main street.
i tend to like the movies playing at montgomery cinemas (less than 10 minutes up route 206) better than in princeton. more selection, too.

Ok. Never did visit yet. So, how far away from things are we talking about here? No cows, I see, and movie theaters are a bit on the scarce side (compared to a suburb of Atlanta, that I live in), but they do exist. Lots of shops. ok, here is the trick - do they have a Starbucks nearby? that is the real question. Not talking about other coffee shops, a real, official Starbucks.

Yes. On Nassau, right across from campus. =)

Starbucks (tastefully designed to blend in with the surrounding architecture) across the street from the University. Princeton is a pretty tony community.

OUTSTANDING. Ok, that was all I needed to know. (Applied for a job at starbucks two days ago) (completely in love there, but you know what, I think I might give it up for Princeton, but good thing I don't have to make that decision!)

soanyhows - loll my friend worked at starbucks and after about a week got sick of coffee and then the smell of coffee... but if you really are in love.. :-P

Love at first sight my dear. Been that way for 'bout a year now. I swear, had I worked there from the beginning, and saved all the money I have since spent there...
Oh, the possibilities...

starbucks is KEY, i loooove love love starbucks. it's strangely addictive. if u look way back, i made a thread entitled "if princeton was a starbucks coffee drink.." I'm even thinking of getting the starbucks duetto visa card b4 college to start getting money towards starbucks. if ur there as much as i am u'll have to have seen those pamphlets.

so yah if u ever want/need a starbucks buddy, let me know
