What are your stats and predicted IB scores?

Yay, I'm IN!!!!!!!!!
you can check all of my stats on that Wiki site started by Turtle
as for IB scores, I had a 4 on the Physics SL test (teacher exclusively preapred for the AP Test, didn't even introduce us to the choices on the second and third paper), and haven't taken the other ones yet

1520 800/800/760
Cumulative GPA: 6.8/7
Essays: Very Good
Recs: Excellent/Very Good
Predicted IB score: 42/45

Wow Ogi, i got a 4 for Physics SL too!!! How bad does that affect ur chances ?

for the IB diploma?
I know that I am still on solid ground to pull of getting the diploma thanks to being confident for the other tests (I am fluent in german, easy 7 right there). Also I don't really see any help in getting any more points than a total of 30 just in case i go to a UC due to financial problems. Other then that, passing is passing, it doesn't seem to matter by how much

As for it affecting my chances for admission, it didn't, because i didn't even put that score down since I had enough APs to take up all the space in that section.
Either way, I got in, so that makes me happy!

wow, do you mind telling me your stats?

Guys, do everyone in IB a favour, please. When you're at Stanford, try to find Thomas Sowell at the Hoover Institute and tell the jerkface to shove it. Here's why: http://www.townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/ts20040226.shtml

"While the parents in Fairfax have had the backbone to get this junk program thrown out of their school, largely because it displaced so much real education"

Displaced so much real education!? My ass. I haven't been slaving away this past year and a half for no reason. My god that article ****ed me off.

This artical is so ridiculously stupid that there is no point in even arguing about it. For me it was just interesting to note how every political statement that has frustrated me over the past couple of years has come from Republicans. And ironically I consider myself one of them until recently!

This blithering idiot works at Stanford???

it's the stupidest article I've ever read. Am I right in thinking that he said IB is an example of education serving as indoctrination? Because if he did, he's quite an idiot.

paul, the blithering idiot is a fellow or something at the Hoover Institute (a conservative think tank), which is based out of Stanford. The man is such a parody of himself it's unbelievable. My classmates and I will never get tired of "it 'promotes socialism, disarmament, radical environmentalism, and moral relativism, while attempting to undermine Christian religious values and national sovereignty'" or "John Dewey has done more damage than anyone without an army." It's that the Hoover Institute and Stanford take this moron seriously that really gets me.
