Source/Logic?

No offense… but that logic is faulty. Our IB math HL 2 class laughs at what the AP Calculus BC kids do.

Just an observation, on CC many more IB kids whine about IB being difficult than AP kids whining about APs.

^ So the IB kids are whiny little bishes? Makes sense since it’s an international program…

^^ I’m sorry… the AP Kids I’ve seen… they don’t do ****.

Try having 3-4 IAs being due on the same day.

Really? In my school, we’re actually taught in the same room by the same teacher and we don’t do anything different at all. One of my teachers joked about how the IB students always get the lowest grades on tests, compared to the AP students (who also have to learn IB material).

But, at least in the case of science, AP physics C is much more rigorous than the non-calculus-based IB physics (case in point: IB physics teacher walked into our room, looked at our books, and was like, “holy crap”). Same with biology; the AP biology class runs circles around the IB biology class (yes, HL).

We don’t even have AP Calc BC… but yeah our HL 2 looked at it and laughed.

HL 1 Chem laughed at AP Chem.

Biology… not sure.

Physics is AP all the way.

Okay. The IB program as a whole is harder than the AP program. Period. The AP program is not a structured and intense program. You see the difference between the students clearly in college. I took SL French B and CS. HL English A1, HOTA, Chem, and Math. It was very difficult. The exam process stated earlier was not 100% accurate. IB is one of the hardest things you can do as a high school students and it has irked me for years how the people who do AP discredit IB.
