Hello. I'm currently a sophomore in high school. I know there are multiple threads about the comparison of AP and IB but there's still some questions I have that I can't find answers to or I want to clarify.

I'll start with some background info about me:
I'm a sophomore and the deadline to decide if I want to continue in IB is coming up.
I currently have a 4.0 unweighted GPA. Taking AP and Honors courses and doing pretty ok in them. I'm also in the Tech program at my school.

Questions:
1. IB students don't receive their IB diploma until after senior year. There's no proof that you actually finished the IB program. Does this affect how colleges accept students.
2. Can I take AP tests for IB HL courses? Will it work for SL courses? [i.e. Biology HL, Chem SL, etc.]
3. Can some of you share your experiences and thoughts about continuing IB. Please don't just say 'Oh don't do it.' Can you give me reasons as to why or why not I should continue on with this program?
4. Do colleges hold IB students with the same importance as AP students? Is one better?

Thank you!
