Hi,I'm a high schooler.I'm looking forward in studying a Business major. The IB major seems really cool with a minor or two in languages like Mandarin Chinese and Arabic (and maybe Japanese too if possible). But it's come to my knowledge that majoring alone in IB isn't enough for successing in a Business career.I like the looks of Finance but I don't want to end up working in a bank or anything.I like Finance better than Economics.I heard that Finance graduates have more job options comparing to Economics graduates.Whatever major I pick I want there to be plenty of job options not only in USA but also in China and in Arab countries like Saudi,Kuwait and/or Qatar.I'm not good at memorizing stuff too much.I have a great fascination towards learning the languages I just mentioned.I just HAVE to learn them! That's why I'm trying to make sure I study in a specific Business major which will allow me to get a chance to master these languages and get me a good career in the Business field at the same time. Some people advised me to pick Finance/Marketing/Supply Chains/Operations as a major and minor in the languages I just mentioned. If I want to get very good jobs in China and Mid-East what would be the best combination? Is 'assuming an IB degree path' and majoring in IB and minoring in the mentioned languages worth the same career value?Should I major in IB and pick these languages as my minor(s)?Or should I major in Finance/Supply Chain with an emphasis on IB and minor in the foreign languages? What careers are will I be able to get if I major in Finance and/or Supply Chains/Operations?Which one of these majors are less related to memorizing theories the whole day?I really suck at memorizing essay type questions.I like mathematics but I don't find Accounting attractive. So the choices left for me are Finance and I'll know what other option's suitable for me after you guys help me with info about Supply Chain and Operation.
