I am in sort of a conudrom(probably spelled wrong) Ibanking and finance seem really interesting, but it seems that a pervasive complusion to go into that sector is money which I am fiercely opposed to for a reason to pick a career (not bc I am a hippie but bc i am Christian) so I don't really know I want a career where I will enjoy it and hopefully help ppl as well are there finance jobs that accomplish both.

Uh, you could become an independent CFP (certified financial planner), go into economics and research, or donate free time to charities and organizations that help the poor plan their finances and get back on their feet?

IBanking is like... Man, I don't know, 5% of the financial industry when it comes to total employees? The front-office (which is what's portrayed everywhere) is probably less than 25% of that 5%. IBankers aren't the only people who make money in finance, and they're sure as hell not the only game in town.

The money (from I-Banking) could be donated to charity. You may also look into working at the finance departments of some non-profits. The upside to such places is that the competition is generally much less fierce. You will also have much more flexible hours compared to I-Banking. If you do not have a large debt out of undergrad a non-profit can be an excellent place to work at.
