If I have a withdraw on my transcript, does it affect my chances?

Hi,

Im applying for gr 10 boarding at Exter, Andover, etc.
Im dropping my current English class at school for an English course at our online school in the same district. That means my transcript for grade 10 will show a ‘W’ which means withdraw from course. But also I will have a second English 10 course that will cover for the credits I just moved classes. Will that impact my grade much? Or would it be better for me to stick to my current course even if I am getting a 81%

Probably not a great look for any of the Eight schools. You would likely need to explain why that occurred. Be upfront about it. Good luck.

I’m currently enrolled in eleven? Or twelve courses at my school. Would it be any help if I say that I withdrew and replaced with another English course because I felt like I could do better and benefit from a work block on my own? Or should I just keep the course I’m not too sure and I need some help
