^I say she's giving herself a hard time. I have no problem with her having the procedure, having a miscarriage, or having an abortion. It's the fact that she's prolife that I have a problem with. THAT is why I'm throwing this in her face, not because I personally disagree with what she did.

ASC, you're really being ridiculous here.

I hate Palin too, but this thread is just making you look desperate. Yes, she's pro-life to the extreme which is a bit nauseating, but having a simple procedure done that poses no real threat to her child doesn't mean she automatically contradicted herself.

Really, give it a rest. There are plenty of other things you can hold over her head, but this isn't one of them.

^Well I'm sorry, but it offends me. I'm sure the chances of someone having a miscarriage because they snort a line of coke is something like 1/200 too--but you still don't take the unnecessary risk if you're a pro-life nut, right?

Got Raped?

Too bad, have the baby anyway.

-Sarah Palin for VP 08

Dude I'd snort a line of coke if my chances of living through it were 199/200 (it's not though, cause chances are I'm going to die in the short-long term) because if I'm going to live after it, with benefits, then all is good. I'm also against drugs. I must be completely missing your point here...

Looks like liberals are now against prenatal tests. Making fun of Palin for having an amino.

The Dems hate strong women like Hillary and Palin.

The Pumas are watching!

^whoa, sooo the repub party is now the party for women? LMAO

And btw, I could care less if the republican PUMAs are watching. They were never democrats anyway. Alas, their founder never even donated to Hillary, only to McCain.

P.S. Just because something bothers me does NOT mean that it bothers every other democrat, or for that matter, just because I'm a democrat doesn't mean that my position has anything to do with my party affiliation.

and FTW: several people have said that I'm making something out of nothing. Don't reply and it won't become "something"--this thread will disappear just like the rest of CC threads do once people stop replying to it.

This is a stupid topic. Why wouldn't you have the procedure done?

People will do anything to smear.

^
~you don't want to take the chance of a miscarriage
~you'd rather find out much of what an Amnio would tell you via ultrasound and blood tests
~you can't afford it

These are the reasons why my mother did NOT have an amnio with my sister.

And again, the more people reply, the longer this will be "dragged on."

Repeat after me ASC. "There is no chance of miscarriage" "There is no chance of miscarriage" "There is no chance of miscarriage" "There is no chance of miscarriage"

Come on try it. Maybe we can get this over with by today. We've been telling you it's negligible.

Yes, she's pro-life to the extreme which is a bit nauseating
[/quote]

I'm sure any number of people consider aborting a fetus to be nauseating as well...

^^^LIE.

1/200 chance.

^^against abortion? Don't have one.

* I'm sure any number of people consider aborting a fetus to be nauseating as well...*

Well considering she's pro-life even in cases of rape and incest, I do feel that is a bit nauseating.

Why should, hypothetically, a 14 year old girl raped by her father and impregnated because of it, have to now bear the burden of carrying a child to full term? That's just too much for anyone to have to handle.

Pro-life should have its limits.

As should pro-abortion... I seem to remember the pro-abortion folks fighting to preserve the rights to partial birth abortions. There are extremes on both ends.

^I never said there weren't extremes on both ends.

I personally am more centrist when it comes to abortion (ie-it should remain legal with minimal restrictions, but at the same time people shouldn't abuse it or use it as a replacement for birth control, etc. Save abortion for your last resort.)

I agree with you 100%. I am not anti-abortion but don't want to see it used like someone is getting their teeth whitened.

No I'm not lieing. She probably gets private healthcare and the chance is 0%. You're lieing to yourself. If you can't accept this, may god help you. (I'm an athiest too whoopdy doo!)

^Don't just say it then, prove it! Especially if you're going to go on calling ME a liar. I have statistics to back up my point. You've yet to prove squat. And if you can prove me wrong, and prove that NO woman has ever miscarried from an amnio, than I'll GLADLY shut the hell up.

athiest? So what's your point? I'm an agnostic--so?

additionally, she had the test at 13 weeks. The procedure is not supposed to performed until the woman has AT LEAST reached FIFTEEN weeks. The fact that she had it at 13--instead of sometime after 15--surely increased the risk of miscarriage.

Even if she insisted on having the test--and even if you insist that she should have had the test--she SHOULD have WAITED according to medical experts.
