If I'm in the lower range of those that get accepted, won't the curves kill me?

No. If they accept you, you’re capable of doing the work. There are lots of things that determine how you do in college. If you take it seriously and pay attention, you should do fine.

I don’t think there’s too much bell-curving going on here…and like VeryHappy said, if you’re accepted, you can do the work.

add another one for “if you’re accepted, you can do the work”

Yeah, and keep in mind that College can change who you are (including you work ethic). I was originally waitlisted, but after getting in I’ve always made the Dean’s List. You can never tell how things are going to work out until you try.

Because W&M practices holistic admission and doesn’t have any minimum criteria one must meet to be admitted, it doesn’t hurt you to try. Other are right, if you are admitted you are capable of doing the work and W&M is a pretty special institution so if you get in, at least visit and try to do a gut check to see if it’s the right place for you.
