What is TE

Tuition exchange program.

Your parent who works at the university that offers the tuition exchange program can communicate with the benefits office and ask whether there is a formal way to petition for coverage.

Likely not, unless of course you are on the waiting list and someone declines. My S19 applied to Villanova prior to me inquiring about the TE. The staff person told me long before RD that they were not offering any this year because they had sophomores on a waiting list from last year. He went on to be accepted to Nova but without the TE, so he won’t be attending.

We are still waiting for a couple of TE decisions (including GWU) this week, which is cutting it a bit close…

Of the schools where S19 was accepted (WL at Lafayette and Bucknell), he has received them at all the schools so far. The key is to make certain that your stats put you above the 75% and to cast a very wide net.
