If you can't meet the EFC...

<p>Man, that sucks. I hope you really are able to pay for college.</p>

<p>As for me, I make less than half of what you do and in a single parent household, not to mention we came here recently.</p>

I feel for ya. My mom is newly remarried and her husband owns his own business. But since I am not his child, he refuses to help with my education. in his words "i'm not his fault. so he shouldn't have to pay."</p>

<p>A possible positive twist to your situation, I've heard single parent house holds look good on financial aid apps....lol And you should qualify for some need based aid. good luck!</p>
