I’m majoring in biology and enjoy it. I’m also interested in French. The thing is, I have many majors I’m interested in, but I don’t know a lot about them. Like perhaps I’d enjoy geology or occupational therapy. I’m taking a class in occupational therapy next semester, so maybe I’ll learn some more about that.

Current: Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering

I would add physics, philosophy and music minor. At my university, it’s quite easy to double or triple, so this isn’t completely out of the picture. :)

I’m an Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity major. Ideally, I would like to add a major in Evolutionary Anthropology (I might end up doing this anyway.)

Psychology
Cognitive Science
Neuroscience
Animal Science
Animal Behavior/Ethology
Queer Studies
Women/Gender/Sexuality Studies

c:

Keawood. you could take the courses anyway, even without a declared major. My D’s department would only list one concentration in her major on her transcript, but she completed all the requirements for a second. Some of the courses she took for that second concentration led to her current job.

Real world: Undecided, likely computer science.

Independently wealthy: Meteorology.

Noimagination, wouldn’t a double major in computer science and meteorology be awesome for designing computer programs to better forecast the weather?

I’m just wondering what kind of job some of you students with other majors are hoping to find - some of you seem to already be majoring in whatever you want - there’s nothing wrong with that, and a lot right with it, as long as you have a plan for after college.

I’m currently pre-med, majoring in chemistry and piano performance. I would not change those but if I didn’t have to sleep and if the days were longer I’d add,

Physics
Mathematics
Economics
Jazz Piano
Guitar performance
Spanish and French literature, (I speak both)

that would be great :)

Current: Math education major, music & theatre double minor

If I could, I’d major in: math, physics, sociology, French, chemistry, musical theatre, vocal performance, music composition.

… that’d be quite a courseload.

Current: Accounting
Wish: Video Game Design w/ Focus on Skyrim.

This is a really cool thread! I actually thought about this before, too.

-English (Rhetoric)
-Art History
-Philosophy
-Sociology
-Journalism
-Media Studies
-Statistics
-Film

Gotta love the humanities!

I really wish I had time to do a PoliSci major. I think I’m going to try to take more classes in this but I really want to graduate on time with possibly a semester abroad.

Currently:
Chemical Engineering

Ideally:
Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Physics, Food Science

If only, lol

Currently: a social science
If I could swing it: also earth sciences

But I’d flunk out of school, haha

Currently: Biology

I’d love to major in English and political science though.

Current: Looking towards a chemistry or a economic major
If i could major in anything, I would definitely major in film.

I’d also love to mesh a bunch of majors together…
I’m a senior in hs right now but I’m planning on majoring in IR or Middle Eastern Studies, but I’d love to combine these:
-International Relations
-Middle Eastern Studies
-Peace and Conflict Studies
-Political Science
-Religion
-Terrorism Studies (which I didn’t know was a thing until I found out that UMD offers it as a minor, and I just find the subject really fascinating…the whole thing is pretty disturbing but thinking about the motivations of terrorists gets really interesting)
-Sociology
-Philosophy
-Human Rights
So basically anything in the social sciences- I hate that I have to pick 1 :(

Anthropology & Economics Double Major, Asian Studies Minor

Current: Marketing Communications
Wish: film production

- Biology
- Visual Arts
- English with a writing concentration
- Economics
