If you could make a new AP class, what would it be?

Title says it all. I’d go for AP Biochemistry or AP Anatomy & Physiology.

A class that isnt pure memorization might be a more useful tool.

AP Astronomy, AP Robotics, the list goes on and on.

I wish there was so.e AP that are Major related. So undecided kids can test the waters before they start college.

I’d love an AP Theatre History class. Set up the same way as AP Art History, but with plays instead of paintings.

I’d love an AP Philosophy class. The discussions would be amazing.

AP Finance. I feel HS does not teach enough financial classes to benefit the students.

AP Multi Variable Calculus

AP Philosophy, AP sociology, Ap discrete math, AP Arabic, AP global studies/globalization

I have two classes. First would last at least an hour and would remove all cell phones as well as bar combing another’s hair or sleeping. Recently, I watched a group of high school students sitting at a table in the school cafeteria. Very silent because no conversation. All were texting on their cell phones. So maybe lunch would be the introduced in the first class.

Second would be a class in tests and measurement with a consumer examples. Topics include measures of central tendency, normal curves as a mathematical conteicances, standard scores, reliability and validity, correlation…We receive and must process and make decisions on lots of complex information reported in numbers. How does a parent or taxpayer interpret standard scores such as those found in scaled scores on the SAT or ranking schools on the most effective in teaching when ratings are based on the cumulative scores is students. The theme song would be “ain’t necessarily so.”

I’m 99% sure I made a comment about AP Not Taking Stupid Classes and AP Anatomy & Physiology on here…did it get removed or did I just forget to hit “post”?

(please don’t ban me or anything, I’m honestly just curious.)

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

I deleted it. As I will delete/have deleted any joke post like AP Lunch, AP Gym, etc.

AP Genetics…

The two week unit in AP Bio just doesn’t cut it for me.

Although, I would also really like an AP Entrepreneurship class, where you have one class dedicated to creating a business/non-profit. I think that I would really blossom in that class.
