I don't know how people are supposed to do it. For me I'm thinking if I happen to get in to my dream EA school I'm not going to bother applying anywhere else.

So long as your financial condition looks like it won’t change, and you can afford to attend your EA school, you should be fine. Talk to your parents, make sure they can afford it in the event of a change in their financial situation, and go from there.

If you get into your dream school early and can afford it then you don’t need to apply anywhere else. I didn’t. It takes a load of pressure off your senior year.

If your EA acceptance is affordable, it becomes a safety. Then you need not apply anywhere else that you would not choose over that school. If that school is your first choice, then you need not apply anywhere else at all.

I applied to two schools EA, got into both and then applied to eleven more for RD. I had to compare financial aid packages.

If I get in my SCEA, I MAY apply to one other school.

Judging by the threads that pop up here in mid december, I think ED can be added alongside EA. People are starting to forget what “binding” means…

I hope I get into my early schools…

I also hope I figure out where I’m applying early :D

I think my EA, G’town, is more likely to give me the best aid than GWU, American, and UChicago (not Binghamton because that’s in state but that doesn’t even count :P).

If you get into Georgetown EA, you won’t know the financial aid package until a few months after your acceptance. Just a heads up.

Edit: You will for UChicago, though.

I don’t think G’town is known for FA. I have heard of GREAT FA packages for American & GWU…
