If you take a gap year, or if you plan to, what are you doing/going to do?

<p>I ask because I'm just curious. I doubt I can travel (money) and if I get a job, if I can, I'll just be bored...but I hear taking a gap year has a lot of benefits and that everybody seems to recommend it for some reason or another...thoughts on this? Thanks.</p>

<p>I took a gap year because my family is not so well off and I needed to save up money to go to college. You make it sound like a holiday. If you can afford to take a gap year just to go on vacation, good for you, but not everyone is so lucky.</p>
