If you wouldn't mind... Chance this transfer. Thank you!

Currently: Sophomore at Loyola Marymount University
College GPA: 3.6
Extracurriculars/Internships:
-President of 3 university dorm buildings
-Intern/Brand Analyst at a Marketing firm in Los Angeles
Recommendations:
-One from a professor
-One from the CEO of the company I intern at
Reason for transferring:
In the Spring of my Freshman year my father passed away. I had to return home for almost twenty days. I choose to go back to school and finish out the semester (getting a 3.6 even with all that was going on in my life). I would like to transfer to start fresh, somewhere where no one knows me and where I can be myself again. I have nothing against LMU.
Residency: Washington State

Please chance me at:

-USC (business or political science... does anyone know which major I would have a better shot at getting into? I am interested in them both here)
-Claremont Mckenna (business)
-Santa Clara (business)
-University of Michigan (same scenario as USC)
-UCSD
-UCSB

Thank you very much to anyone that can help me move forward with deciding where I have the best chances.

also if anyone could chance me at university of illinois and wake forest… I think those might be matches for me? Not sure though.

Any suggestions on schools I should look into also?.. that would be matches for me with a good b-school?

Condolences on the loss of your dad. You did well to maintain a good GPA despite the difficulty of the situation.
I’d recommend that you work some more on your reason for transferring. Although you’re on the right track not to badmouth your current school, what you’ve written here makes it sound like you were involved in some kind of crime or scandal, and that’s presumably not the case. Talk about academic opportunities, internships, etc. that you’d like to have.

I understand completely. Thank u for the advice. Can anyone chance me at these schools?

bumpppp please

I think you’ve done an amazing job with maintaining a relatively high GPA, with your father passing away… (my condolences).
But I agree with above, I think you need to really stress the reasons for transferring?
Are there any academic reasons for transferring?
What are you hoping to achieve through transferring, other than a fresh start?
I’m not totally convinced that the admissions committe will see your reasons as strong.
Hope that helps…
