Mine was worse. Trust me.
I decided to apply to Notre Dame as an afterthought. On January 1st, at 11:29 pm.
I was kind of out of it after being awake for 20 hours straight (which might be normal for some of you guys, but I’m hibernating right now). I picked the “Home” and “Take a risk” topics, and for the first I wrote about being afraid of werewolves as a kid and for the second I slapped together a sloppy 100ish word essay about a line from a poem.
Why.
WHY.
Then I submitted my application at 11:58 (I kid you not) and slept like a baby.
Well, that was a mistake.
Moral of the story: don’t write your application essays 30 minutes before the deadline.
