Ikea "Must Have's"/Quick Pick Up's

I’m hoping to go to Ikea tomorrow. On the lookout for some inexpensive dining room chairs to hold us over for the short term (I’ve been looking for used with no luck!).

I haven’t been to an Ikea for several years! Not since we were doing re-fills for new dorm rooms.

There are a few smaller items I want to look for - sort of “consumables” that I tend to grab or check out when I was going to Ikea yearly.
-the inexpensive white/red trim kitchen dishtowels - use them for all kinds of things!

  • coffee frother (small and great to pack in a suitcase
  • decorative pillows
  • plants/planters
  • picture frames

Are there Ikea things you stock up on when there? Help me add to me list! And I already know about the blue storage bags!!!

We love the circular cork mats for under hot dishes and mugs.
dishes and glasses
Towels
And we have the three metal coffee table set, which is easy to move around and fits in small areas.

I hear ikea just raised its prices due to inflation

I make my own meatballs… but I always leave IKEA with a few jars of this! Can’t beat the price… and my lingonberry garden was destroyed by the marauding herd of deer.

Having some with my lunch bagel as we speak.

Picture frames are fine but they are European sizes and don’t necessarily fit our standard photo sizes.

Their sheer curtains. They come unheeded, so fit any window or slider. You need to hem. They are decent and inexpensive.

Maybe, haven’t been in a while. But, I keep getting emails that IKEA family members get 5% off purchases in store. So, bring that card (or bar code on your phone)!

Not planning to put “photos” in them.

Cork MATS? Different than the cork hot pads??

I like their paper dinner napkins.

Agree. Their paper napkins are great quality, and the right price. And usually fun prints.

I don’t think so. The round cork pads?

Yep. Never thought about them for plants!
