<p>3.7 is just "half decent" wow where do you go to school? A 3.7 is good.</p>
<p>Underoath, you should do a little research on how to rectify those bad grades. Some colleges will replace the lower grade with the higher grade if you re-take a course and get a better grade.</p>
<p>Really, the OP should be okay with anything above a 3.5 as long as it is the first semester GPA is the only weak factor on the app (i.e., you need strong volunteer experience, strong letters of rec, good people skills, a good personal statement, etc.)</p>
<p>OP, just how much time did you put into school last sem? I would take that amount and multiply it by 5.</p>
