So recently i auditioned for a BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre at a school. Just days before i came down with bronchitis, but with medicine, quickly began to feel just fine. I went to my audition, the first 16 bars was great, and then i shortly began to sound like harvery fierstein on a good day, even in my monologues, but i kept going, with my emotion and acting and everything. The faculty was super nice and had me sing scales (which i did well) and part of my song again. so i guess my question is, are my chances shot or is this enough to judge at least what im capable when im not sick? Share any stories if you have been through it, thanks!

Ok, did they ask you if you were sick? This happened to my D last year at Syracuse. They did ask her though if she was fighting something and she told them she had a sinus infection. She was waitlisted and eventually got in and goes there. So yes it can happen.

Yes, they knew i was sick. That is why the vocal teacher had me sing scales and part of my first song again. How bad was your Ds voice?
