ILR School

Hello, I applied to Cornell with the major of ILR but if I get accepted and do not really like that major, will I be able to switch major?

Why do you not like the major, It is one of the best majors at Cornell, it is very versatile. With the free electives you can take classes that will lead you to any carrier you want. Congratulations.

No not like that, I am just wondering because people say that it’s a separate school but under Cornell so do I have more choices or am I stuck to this only?

No guarantees, but:

What would likely be the process of transferring?

@Mhab8037 hi, first of all congrats if you were accepted! The ILR school despite common misconception is a very rigorous school within Cornell. Second, cornell is comprised of several schools that house different majors. ILR is different because you’ll have to take several classes within the school (reqs), but will also be allowed to take classes across all schools. Ex. Language classes, or chem, etc. Remember you can also pick a minor that suits your interest! So don’t be discouraged by the fact that the ILR only has one major (I’ve met several people that transferred internally into ILR, from arts and sciences for example).

Private message me if you have any more specific questions.

That is different, how, exactly???
I, as a CAS student back in antiquity, took courses in three different colleges there.
My daughter, a CAS student, took courses in four different colleges there. (including an ILR class).
So yeah…
