I'm 15 and am taking college courses, I am going to be a doctor.

I am currently involved in a Dual-Enrollment program at my school that allows me to take classes at both High School and College. I already have 20 college credits, and will have my associates by 17 and my bachelors by 19. I will take summer courses to make up for some classes, since I cannot take a full-load until my Junior Year (Just became a Sophomore). I plan on applying to Medical School right after undergraduate, but I wonder: Will my age impact my likeliness of being accepted? Also if I am not accepted my first year, should I keep applying? I’ve been told on several occasions that I am very mature for my age. I work hard and have always put my academics first. I plan on volunteering at a hospital or some type of medical environment next summer, and aspire to get a part-time job, once I obtain my associates, at a hospital. I have a 4.0 in college currently and I plan on keeping my GPA above a 3.85, if not a 4.0. Any help is appreciated, and any tips for preparation now are welcomed!

Doogie Howser does exist, hoping you will be one of them.

I hope so as well! Thank you.

In the med school class behind D1, there was a 19 year old MS1.

She had been homeschooled, had taken tons of CC and 4 year university classes, finished high school at 15, graduated from UCLA with honors at 18 and was accepted into med school on her first application cycle.

She also had an eidetic memory.

Her biggest issue was that many patients refused to believe she was a med student during clinicals and didn’t take her seriously because she looked like she was 12.
