I was wondering if there were any history majors here who could give me some advice. I'm a group A major (pre-modern) and have some concerns regarding the group requirement. So I have taken several group A classes, but most have been at the 1000 level. My question is: Will the department, when it comes time to approve the coursework toward the degree, raise their eyebrows at the way I've chosen to satisfy the courses in my group? Will they say that there weren't enough courses taken at the lecture level (3000)? For some reason most of the classes in pre-modern history take the designation of 1000. Has anyone had any difficulty when it came time to graduate?
