I'm transferring into CALS for information science and the college requires that you take 4 Social Science & Humanities classes to graduate. There is a list (http://tinyurl.com/2bhb7a) of over 1400 classes that can fill these requirements and I was wondering if you could give me any advice on classes to take. Any recommendations on classes that you have taken or heard other people take that are really good, have great professors, or are otherwise worth taking would be greatly appreciated.

Easy and Interesting Classes I'd recommend:

Introductory Economics Classes (ie. Econ 101). Not terribly easy, but really worthwhile. --> Fulfills social science (SBA)

DSOC 101 (The easiest A+ at Cornell, most likely) (KCM)

Psych 101 (Again, not super-easy, but an easy A if you put in the work)

There are so many out there, but those latter two are the ones people talk about a lot. I haven't taken Psych, but DSOC was the biggest joke of a class I've ever sat through.

I'm not in CALS, but Psych101 is a great distribution class. It's not an easy A+, but an easy A in my opinion. Just do the readings, do the extra credit, take the practice exams (prelims mimic practice exams) and that's it! I got an A+ with no problems. Professor Maas loves giving A's (from what it seems like).
