I'm considering PSU as a safety school...am i pretty much guaranteed acceptance?

UW GPA :4.14 W:3.77
SAT scores :2220
SAT subject: 670 Chem, 700 US History
Took most advanced classes possible, except 3 classes which were "normal"

EC:
Tennis for 3 years, key club, French Honor Society, National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Math, Honor Society, Social Studies Honor Society.

Red cross certified aed/cpr/first aid instructor.

Study Buddy online math tutor.

Am I pretty much in?

Why is your weighted GPA lower than your unweighted?

it’s not w:4.14
uw: 3.77

I got accepted for 2009 with the same exact SAT score, lower GPA, and only 2 extracurriculars, I don’t see why you wouldn’t get in. Is mostly a numbers thing as far as I know and you are pretty good in that regard.

PSU plugs your gpa and sat into a computer to determine acceptance. You are automatically in, 100% with the stats you have. You may also want to consider applying to Schreyer’s however, it is PSU’s honors program. In order to do that, you must complete a supplemental application w/ essays.

My D was accepted in less than a week w/ 2150 and similar GPA. More ECs though. It was a safety for her also.

Anyone know how this sytem works? University of Iowa system can be figured be done by anyone… how do you get to PSU-UP?

nvm http://admissions.psu.edu/facts/studentbody/

Does the averages chart for GPA take the weighted or unweighted into consideration?
