I'm trying to transfer colleges/universities and I'm currently facing a dilemma in terms of doing so, as so far despite excellent academic performance for my freshman year I find myself being denied to everywhere I apply thus far. Therefore I feel I am facing ether being stuck at my current school for another year or faced with going to a community college in which both situations present both their benefits and possible problems. As I also have a learning disability the subject of mathematics.

For myself I see the following,

My current college

Pro's of staying,

. I'm lined up to take a number of math and science requirements(both for general electives and my major) with fairly easy and layed-back professor's, which would allow me to get the math out of the way and add to my science record.

. I have established relationships both with my professors and peers, and I'm involved in some extracurriculars.

Con's of staying at my current institution,

. I currently attend a college not very well known outside of the region, plus my school us in WV which is a state not well known for producing academically successful institutions as a whole.

. My current school is not very supportive of it's students academically or socially.

. I feel like I'm missing out on many oppertunites I would get at a community college in my home state.

Pro's of going to a community college in my homestate,

.Would increase the number of courses and oppertunites that I would have as a Sophomore.

. Would guarantee me automatic admission into some of the best colleges/universities in the state, for example UVA or William & Mary after the coming year due to the fact that I attended a community college to finish my associates and I am in-state resident as live in Virginia.

Con's

. I wouldn't have as high a chance of obtaining the easy solution out of the math dilemma.

. I worry if it would look bad that I transferred from my current school to a community college.

With all of this facing me especially if anyone has been in the same situation, could anyone provide me with their opinion of my dilemma?
